At the Mimbres Region Arts Council we firmly believe that the future foundation of our community lies in its young people. We understand the importance of ensuring our future generations have a grounded and well rounded appreciation of how the arts affect our everyday lives. With that goal in mind, MRAC has embarked on several programs that are dedicated to the youth of Grant County and the surrounding region...
With funding from New Mexico Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts and Local Sponsors, Grant County youth take part in the planning, designing, and production of murals in the region. Individuals, organizations, or businesses interested in supporting and participating in mural projects are invited to contact MRAC.
Artists who work with our program are; Diana Ingalls Leyba, Marilyn Gendron, Cecilia Stanford, Carlene Roters, Kate Brown, Fred Barraza, Beth Menzcer, Katheryn Allen, Melanie Zipin, and Zoe Wolfe.
