Youth Mural Program
"Gila River" Tile Mural Project - Yankie Street (Summer '08)
Created in conjunction with the Gila River Festival, students 5-12 years old in the Summer Youth Mural Camp worked with local artists Zoe Wolfe & Melanie Zipin as well as high school-aged interns to create images depicting the flora and fauna of the Gila River. The tile and painted mural stretches the length of the 50+ foot street off of Bullard in the heart of the Arts and Cultural District.
