Youth Mural Program
“Bless Me Ultima - The Big Read” - Silver City Public Library (Spring '09)
A collaboration between the Arts Council, the Friends of the Library and the Big Read project, this mural, located on the Silver City Public Library, enlivens the Arts and Cultural district with a mixed media mural. Tile, mosaic, & paint depict scenes from the famous Rudolfo Anaya novel. Students in an Aldo Leopold High School Creative Writing Class worked with Glenwood clay artist, Beth Menzcer and mixed media artist, Diana Ingalls Leyba to bring the story to life.
